Case Study · SaaS Mentoring Platform

How Qooper grew organic traffic 2,203% in 6 months

A SaaS case study running both of our services at once: how a mentoring and learning platform with a deep content library and almost no ranking authority earned 57 placements averaging DR 78 in six months — with featured coverage still live nearly four years after the engagement ended.

Traffic from Qooper’s Google Analytics · featured placements verified live via Ahrefs — July 2026
The challenge

Deep content library. No ranking authority.

Qooper builds mentoring and learning software for enterprises — career development, DEI programs, leadership training, new-hire onboarding. The product had real adoption. The blog had real depth. Neither was showing up in search.

The site went into 2022 ranking for just 198 keywords — three of them on page one — and at kickoff that February it was drawing 195 organic sessions a month. The category was owned by platforms with a decade of accumulated domain authority behind every page they published.

Publishing more into that gap does nothing. The content was already there. It needed authority behind it.

The approach

Two channels. One authority curve.

Digital PR + Link Insertions

Expert commentary for the domain, contextual links for the pages

Digital PR positioned Qooper’s leadership as sources for journalists already writing about workplace mentoring, employee development, and remote work culture. That earned coverage builds authority across the whole domain.

Link insertions worked the other half of the problem: contextual dofollow links added to existing articles on HR, business technology, and workplace development sites, pointed at the specific guides and use-case pages that were ready to rank. 57 placements across both channels in six months, averaging DR 78.

The outreach stopped in August 2022. The compounding didn’t.

Links don’t spike traffic the day they go live. A placement gets indexed, earns trust, and starts compounding — ranking movement typically shows in months 3–6, with compounding through months 6–12 and beyond. That’s the shape of this chart: traffic held through the winter after the final placement, then doubled — 4.2K in August 2022 to 8.5K by August 2023 — squarely inside that window.

On attribution

Qooper has kept investing in its own growth since 2022 — today’s traffic reflects everything the company has done since, not the engagement alone. What the engagement is accountable for is narrower and verifiable: every placement featured on this page was re-verified live via Ahrefs in July 2026, and even the weakest month since ran 7.2× above the pre-kickoff average.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Both. Digital PR positioned Qooper’s leadership as expert sources for journalists covering workplace mentoring, employee development, and HR technology. Link insertions placed contextual dofollow links inside existing articles on HR, business technology, and workplace development sites, pointing at the guides and use-case pages built to rank. The two lanes together produced 57 placements averaging DR 78 across the six-month engagement.

Because it is measuring something different. The 2,203% figure comes from Qooper’s own Google Analytics — 195 organic sessions in February 2022 to 4,491 in August. Ahrefs estimates traffic from ranking positions and search volumes rather than counting sessions, and on domains starting near zero it reads high at the baseline, which compresses the percentage. Both series agree on the endpoint within about six percent. The chart above is the Ahrefs series, verifiable by anyone.

First placements went live inside the first two weeks. Ranking movement showed from month three, and the keyword base kept building through the final placement in August. That timeline is consistent across campaigns: first placements in 2–3 weeks, meaningful ranking movement in months 3–6, compounding through months 6–12.

No single number here is a promise. Qooper started from an unusually low base — 198 ranking keywords going into 2022 and 124 referring domains at kickoff — and percentage growth is always largest from a small starting point. Qooper also had a deep existing content library, which gave the authority somewhere to land. An established SaaS domain growing from a bigger base will post a smaller percentage from the same work.

Ready to put authority behind your content?

A strategy call maps your priority pages, target publications, and a realistic timeline — first placements in 2–3 weeks, ranking movement in months 3–6, compounding after.
